後のソウル～ファンクからブラック・ミュージック、エンターテイメントのシーンに大きな影響を与えた説明不要のゴッドファーザー・オブ・ソウル、James BrownがJames Brown & The Famous Flamesとして1956年に“Please, Please, Please”でデビューして以降の5年間にリリースしたのレコーディングから、シングル曲を中心にセレクトされたコンピレーションがリリース！

タイトルにもなっている“I’ll Go Crazy”や“Try Me”、“Think”といった初期の代表曲は当然、Nat Kendrick & The Swans名義でリリースされたJames Brownの参加曲“（Do The）Mashed Potatoes”を収録Ｔってのもファンには嬉しいのではないでしょうか！
